Siberian cat: breed description
In Siberian cats of medium length, the body is rounded, with a slight arch in the back. Large bones, strong neck, chest wide, back and lower back strong, wide and rounded head. The legs are strong and fairly tall, but the massive body gives the cat a slightly squat appearance. Paws are large, round, between the fingers are thick tufts of wool. The tail is mobile, long, straight.
The muzzle is medium length, wide. The forehead is convex, the transition to the muzzle is noticeable. Cheekbones are massive, low. The chin is slightly sloping. The nose is straight, wide, long. The ears are large, triangular, widely spaced, decorated with tassels at the ends.
The eyes are large, rounded. Eye color is usually golden green. Look attentive, intense.
Kittens at birth have short hair, which grows only by 3 months. Adult cats have a two-layer, dense, water-repellent coat, an edge on the ears, a longer coat on the sides of the head, a luxurious “collar”, “pants” on the hind legs and a fluffy tail. The undercoat is thin, but very dense, of medium length. The integumentary hair is long, hard, shiny.
Coloring can be any. Exception: solid lilac or chocolate, as well as color point. But the classic color of Siberian cats remains spotted and striped. There are white marks on the legs and neck.
Siberian cats weigh 8 - 10 kg.
