There may be several reasons why a puppy whines, both during the day and at night.

1. Adaptation in a new place and related anxiety. A two-month-old puppy is a small, defenseless creature. He got used to the familiar environment, the company of his mother, brothers and sisters, but suddenly found himself torn from them and placed in a new environment, where there are also unfamiliar creatures. Why don’t you worry? Often a puppy who has got into a new house whines at night, especially in the early days.
2. Fear. Sometimes a puppy whines with fear, for example, seeing an unusual and frightening subject. As a rule, in this case, the baby pulls the tail and tries to run away or snuggle up to the feet of the owner.
3. Boredom. Sometimes a puppy whines during the day (and even sometimes at night) from the fact that he is corny bored. After all, before he had the opportunity to play with other puppies, but now he is completely alone, especially if the new owners spend the whole day outside the house.
4. Pain. Sometimes a puppy whines, because it hurts him, for example, he unsuccessfully jumped off the couch, fell from the hands of a child or injured himself.
5. Hunger. A hungry puppy, of course, will whine, because he feels serious discomfort.
6. Host reinforcements. If you pay little attention to the puppy, but at the same time run to him as soon as he whines, the baby will very quickly learn to whine in order to attract your attention. In this case, it is the owners who teach the puppy howl.

What to do if a puppy whines? How to wean a puppy whine?

1. If the problem is the anxiety associated with adapting to new conditions, but you need to be patient and wait, while providing a new household with good living conditions, ensuring the optimal combination of predictability and diversity, as well as encouraging the puppy to behave correctly. As a rule, after a few days the puppy gets used to the new family and stops whining. To facilitate the adaptation period, you can ask the former owners for something with the smell of your home (for example, your favorite puppy toy or bedding).
2. If the puppy whines with fear, calm him down. And, of course, take the time to literate socialize your pet, get to know the world.
3. So that the puppy does not whine with boredom, it is important to provide him with toys and give him as much attention as possible when he does not whine.
4. If there is even the slightest reason to believe that the puppy whines with pain, you need to examine him and, if necessary, consult a veterinarian.
5. To prevent the puppy from whining with hunger, feed him often and little by little. A two-month-old puppy should eat 5-6 times a day in small portions, and the water should be in constant access.
